Too Famous To Get Fully Dressed

Ahhh, sandwiches!

New Music // Delorentos – ‘Bullet In A Gun’

It’s been a while since we heard from Delorentos. Back in October, we heard the Dublin quartet were planning to head into the studio at the end of the year with a view to releasing new material, oh, around now.

The recording plan, for whatever reason, didn’t work out but we have at least got new material. Shot for the excellent Madrid blog elDIANTÉMANO during the group’s Spanish tour last month, this live video performance of new track ‘Bullet in a Gun’ is well worth getting excited over.

Anybody who’s been to Spain (or, being diplomatic, the Iberian peninsula) at this time of year knows just how great a feeling it is to sit outside in the afternoon or evening sun and just soak it all up. Hell, we’ve even had comparable weather here recently (jinx).

The only way it could really get any better would be for a deadly band to just show up and play an impromptu acoustic set, complete with guitar case percussion and drums cleverly muffled with a plaid shirt. Just throwing that out there for any bands reading.

Having not seen Delorentos live recently (or ever, regretfully), I don’t know if the final version of the song is intended to be performed acoustically. But having seen this, I’d be more than happy if this exact recording went straight onto the album, which they’ve tentatively scheduled to begin recording in June.

Special mention too to elDEANTÉMANO for the high-quality video.
