Free Music // Savour Your Scene Records Sampler

The lads from Belfast metalcore act Gacys Threads (reviewed last week) have launched a new label/collective-type dealie called Savour Your Scene Records for the hardcore/metal scene in Ireland. I caught the band a couple of weeks back at Ilenkus‘ album launch in Dublin a couple of weeks back and they put on an incredible show.

Video // Before Machines – ‘Stalagmites’

A couple of weeks back I previewed Croupier’s gig in the Workman’s Club and made positive noises about what I’d heard from the warm-up acts.

I went to see Croupier, but I was most impressed by opening act Before Machines from Belfast. There was only a trickle in the room for the beginning of their short set, but by the end a decent crowd had formed.

New Music // Empty Lungs – ‘Identity Lost’

Belfast punk trio Empty Lungs have been knocking around for about a year now and ‘Identity Lost’ is their first formal release, a three-track single produced by Rocky O’Reilly (of the late, great Oppenheimer).
